Januar 2003 08:13:12: New South Wales: Belongil Beach Belongil Beach, Byron Bay is up the north coast of New South Wales, close to the Queensland border. A few years ago a whole lot of 'new age' / alternate life style / hippy type people decided to go and live there. This has changed this rather conservative seaside resort a lot. Belongil Beach has only recently become clothing optional. The Byron City Council has sanctioned the northern end of Belongil Beach, at Byron Bay for nude bathing.
